| Description: | A surprise party had been planned at nighttime at the local church for the mother of one of my friends. Everyone had to get there in the dark so that she wouldn't see us going there and find out about the surprise. I was running there with my friend and every now and then we would come across a dog or group of dogs in the road. When there was just one dog it would be sitting absolutely still, but when there was a group of dogs they were fighting and running about. When we got the church everyone was there, except for the star guest who was still on her way. We had to practice singing a song for when she arrived but we never got past the first line as my other friend's mother kept interrupting to tell us things. Meanwhile, the minister was sitting in a hanging lamp-style light shade next to the pulpit and his wife, who was sitting behind me, was telling me about how the lamp came from an old street lamp that used to be outside of a London pub. |
