Description: I have had this nightmare many times. It has been sometime since I have had this dream but heres how it always goes. In my dream the stting is always where I really am in real life, which usualy means my in my home, in bed asleep. The parts of this nightmare that always stay fresh in my mind are I am suppose to just be in bed asleep but it feels like i'm in some kind of coma but I am aware of everything around me. I am in a panic because I can't speak or move and something is really wrong and I know I need to call out to someone to save my life. That someone is always my husband but no matter how hard I try nothing comes out when I attempt to plead for help. This goes on and on then I begin to not be able to breath. I panic even more and try even harder to wake up. Every so often through out this part of my nightmare I either dream I become slightly conscience or I actualy do in real life and then quickly fall back asleep. Although I doubt it is real because I have had my husband right next to me awake and he has told me he couldn't even tell I was having a bad dream. He has told me several times I am sleeping and breathing fine. Anyways back to my nightmare. The point being I dream I come to slightly, enough for me to take a few gasps of air and tease me into believing I can get some help and then all of a sudden I am right back into that vicious cycle of not being able to speak, move or breath until I either start another dream or wake up in reality a little shaken up.
Dreamer's Analysis: I have had it at least 10 times I can remember so I really haven't a clue as to why.

Anonymous 2010-02-25 15:35:54 Yes i have had this dream many times as well, the exact same dream.
Anonymous 2007-12-25 10:26:29 No That sounds awful. At least you know that your husband is by you and tells you that you are breathing okay. Perhaps you are feeling trapped somehow in real life, or like you are unable to express yourself properly? I don't know but I hope you eventually stop dreaming this. Perhaps the dream dictionary is helpful? Try looking up breathing and suffocating. Good luck with finding out what your dream means.
